The Location

The Albany enjoys a privileged riverside location on the banks of the Thames between Kingston and Richmond.

The Gardens

The grounds are landscaped, running alongside the full length of the estate. There are two ancient 18th century Cedar trees. The Grounds were raised above the towpath using an 18th century device known as a Ha-ha, which ensures uninterrupted river views. We have our own access from the grounds to the riverside path which leads to the centre of Kingston in one direction and Teddington Lock in the other.

Cherry Carmen (RHS medal winner) was recently commissioned to undertake a garden redesign which is being planted up in a phased approach over the next 3 years.  In the meantime, one of our residents has put together a slide show of the gardens (see right).

Additional Features

West-facing heated swimming pool and pool terrace offer a sunny spot with breath-taking views up and down river.

Additional features include gated and entry phone security, covered car port providing one parking space per flat with storage. There are 12 visitor parking spaces and 6 visitor bike racks.

There is a resident Caretaker.

We are 0.8 miles from Kingston town centre with its comprehensive shopping facilities. Additional recreational areas include Richmond Park, Canbury Gardens, Ham Common, Bushy Park, Home Park and Hampton Court.

Transport links are excellent. Kingston main line station connects to Waterloo within 1/2 hour; the 65 bus route with stops at the end of Albany Park Road provides a regular service to Kingston, Richmond, Kew and Ealing.
